What this trip is.
Nakuru is close enough to Nairobi to work as a day trip, though it makes for an early start and a late return. The park is fenced and compact, which is why both black and white rhino are found here in numbers that make sightings likely.
Along with the rhino you have Rothschild's giraffe, buffalo, waterbuck and a very long bird list. Flamingo numbers depend on lake levels and move between the Rift Valley lakes.
