What this trip is.
Nairobi National Park begins about seven kilometres from the city centre and is fenced on three sides, with the southern boundary left open to the Athi plains. The skyline behind the herds is what makes it unlike anywhere else.
It holds black and white rhino, lion, cheetah, buffalo, giraffe and a long bird list. There are no elephants. A morning drive is the usual format and fits easily around a flight.
